Legal basis and storage period
I process personal data in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations – in particular, the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). I conduct data processing only with legal permission. When you use this website, I process personal data only with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); for the performance of a contract to which you are party or, at your request, for the implementation of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR); for compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR); or if the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by me or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of personal data (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Unless otherwise stated, I will only store the data for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of processing or to fulfill my contractual or legal obligations (e.g., commercial or tax law regulations).
Automated data processing at server level
When you use my website, general data that your browser transmits to my hosting company’s server are automatically stored. These include the ID of the website request; the host name of the website that was accessed; the path to the resource that was accessed; the content of the referrer header (if set); the character string for the user agent that was used for the login attempt; and the time of the login attempt. These data are stored for two weeks and then deleted. This protects my legitimate interests, has its legal base in Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, and serves the technical administration and security of the website.
I do not use any tracking cookies of my own for this website.
Data subject rights and right to lodge a complaint
As a data subject, you can assert corresponding rights against me. In particular, you have the following rights:
- In accordance with Art. 15 GDPR and Section 34 BDSG, to request information as to whether and, if so, to what extent I process personal data relating to you;
- In accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, to demand that I rectify your data;
- In accordance with Art. 17 GDPR and Section 35 BDSG, to request that I delete your personal data;
- In accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, to have the processing of your personal data restricted;
- In accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, to receive the personal data concerning you, which you have provided to me, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another controller;
- In accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR, to object to any processing based on the legal basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR and—insofar as your personal data is processed by me for direct marketing purposes—to object to this processing in accordance with Art. 21 (2) and Art 21 (3) GDPR.
If you have given me separate consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7 (3) GDPR. However, this revocation does not affect the legality of the processing that was carried out based on the consent until the revocation.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR.
